Even though I am not much of a beer person, I am interested in trying the new CoronaRita. I like to try new things and this drink sounds refreshing and tasty.

Boy Scouts strive to evolve not only young boys but the entire family. Scouting teaches morals and values thus making the family bond stronger. This helps produce confident young people and prepares them for adulthood in the future.

Raising young men is not an easy task. Scouting is a great way to aid parents and the scouting experience will last a lifetime. Be A Scout is a great and simple motto for the Boy Scouts of America and has changed the lives of many young boys.

Anyone Ready For the Holidays?

Here we are, already in September. This year has flown by. I can say I am ready for summer to end and cooler tempuratures to grace the Desert Southwest. Unfortunately, that will not happen until close to Halloween.

But, if things keep going the way they are, Halloween will soon arrive and then before you know it the holidays will be upon us. That means it is time to start thinking about Christmas shopping. I know. I do not want to think about it either. But with several grandchildren I must.

Sometimes it is hard to know what they might like. I like to find simple toys that promote discovery and learning. I also find games for children a nice gift. It is fun to play games with my grandchildren that I played as a child and then played with my own children. I think everyone has played Candy Land as a child. For many it was their first board game. Monopoly and The Game of Life made you feel like a grown up. Buying real estate and putting the little pink and blue pegs in the cars was fun as was passing go and collecting your payday money.

So, I need to get thinking about Christmas. I also need to become more creative about gifts this year because that unemployment check only goes so far.
