I am sure most of you know that Staff Sergeant Salvatore Giunta was awarded the Medal of Honor for his brave actions in Afghanistan. A living service member has not been presented with the Medal of Honor since the Vietnam War.
Thank you Staff Sergeant Salvatore Giunta for your bravery and you magnificent service to our country and your brothers in arms.

I have more good news about a service member. Remember Lcpl Marcus Chiscilly? He will soon begin therapy and rehab. This is a direct quote from him to his family, “Let’s do this!”
Thanks for the prayers and continue to pray for him full recovery!

Unfortunately I also have some sad news. We lost another soldier from our are on November 4th. He was U.S. Army special forces Todd Harris. He was on his fourth combat deployment and has served in the U.S. Army for eleven years.
On Saturday I will stand for this soldier and proudly hold the American flag along with the rest of my Patriot Guard brothers and sisters. This is never easy, but serving your country is by far harder.
Please say a prayer for this soldier’s family.
Thank you Sgt. 1st Class Todd M. Harris. Stand down, your mission is accomplished.
