Sunday Brunch – Mrs. E.

Well another uneventful week here in juliannah and Corvette land. I got to see a long time friend of my parents, Grandma M and Grandpa DingDon. I have know her since I was a child and was friends with her kids. A lot of history there. Needless to say, we kids got into some trouble, but in the end, we turned into responsible adults and raised families.

Mrs. E was practically like another mom to me. She lost her husband a number of years ago. I think that was the first time I was affected by a loss like that. It was unexpected and I remember feeling so much sadness for this family.

Anyway, Mrs. E went on and refused to stop living life. She continued to drive her motor home all by herself. She took quite a few travels in the motor home by herself.

She is now in another battle. You see, earlier this year she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She has since had surgery and chemo to treat the cancer. But, she did not let this get her down. She once again took a summer trip. Along the way she stopped to see my parents and me. Of course, sans the motor home, but still persevering all the time. Nice to see you Mrs. E.

Yes, life is like a box of chocolates…

…you never know what you will get.

Yes, life is like a box of chocolates
