I have come to the conclusion that my husband, Corvette is a pepper hoarder. Yes, that is what he is. Last summer the peppers did exceptionally well. Everyday he went out and picked peppers that ended up in canning jars and empty pickle jars.
Now just know that the only peppers I like are of the bell pepper variety. I do not like the hot peppers of any type. Wouldn’t you know it, Corvette is not to fond of the bells. Story of our life.
Well our 2010 garden is starting to crank up and guess what is still in my refrigerator. Yea, two rows of peppers. Taking up space. My mayonnaise is now permantly kicked out of the door shelf with the ketchup close behind.
Now you would think that he would eat his beloved hot peppers. You would think. This is why I think he is a pepper hoarder. He just takes them out and looks at them and then puts them back.
This is my worry as of late. What will happen when the hot pepper plants start bearing again? Will the ketchup, mustard, ranch dressing all be kicked out of their respective spots in the door? Will said peppers then spill over to other areas of the fridge? Hey buddy, I am telling you right now, the crisper is off limits!
Do you think I could pitch this to some Hollywood producers and get a reality show out of it? I wish because the way it is going now, I am going to need another refrigerator. Just for peppers.
