Dawn and Charley Price of Oshkosh, Wisconsin were threatened with eviction after Dawn placed an American Flag in one of her windows. Charley is a veteran that served two tours, one in Kosovo and one in Iraq.
Dawn wanted to honor Charley’s military service and those that served with him. She decided to decorate the dining area with military motif and thought the flag in the window would fit perfectly into the decor.
Apparently it is against the apartment rules to display a flag. So last Tuesday they received a five-day eviction notice. The apartment’s policy was written to protect citizens of all backgrounds and diversity. One up for political correctness once again.
Instead of taking the flag down, Dawn bought a curtain to darken the flag. I think this whole sitiuation is digusting. Last time I checked this was still America, Land of the Free. Is this how we thank our vets by telling them that they are not allowed to display the symbol of a country that they fought for. I think not.
I am not trying to get political here, what’s right is right and what’s wrong is wrong. This is wrong in my never to be humble opinion.
What do you think?
Dawn and Charley Price will be allowed to keep the flag.
This is the power of the people.

Unbelievable! An eviction notice for putting up a flag…in America? I sometimes wonder where peoples’ heads are at when they react so unreasonably to something so harmless. I’m glad the apartment owners changed their minds. And our thanks to Charley for his service and commitment to our freedom. My brother-in-law also did two tours, both in Iraq.
