I hope all the mothers reading this out there are having a great day! My day is coming along nicely. Corvette took me to breakfast this morning. When we arrived at the restaurant, The line was out the door. This did not surprise me since it is Mother’s Day. We decided to see how long the wait would be. They said maybe 10 minutes. I wondered about that, but they were right. In fact, in less than 10 minutes we were seated and ordering.
I had my favorite, two eggs over medium, bacon, sausage with hash browns and white toast and a big glass of milk. Corvette had sirloin tips cooked with onions and mushrooms, two eggs over medium and hash browns. He washed his down his meal with a big glass of milk too.
Needless to say it was yummy! After breakfast, we went the furniture store and bought a new dining table. The one I originally bought when we moved in this house was just to big. I am happy to say I found the perfect table for my house. Here is a photo. This is not my house, because as I write, Corvette is assembling said table.
The chair pads are actually a little more gold in color. But, I love it and it fits the southwest theme I have in my decore.
Yesterday, Corvette went out mother’s Day shopping. I wanted a strawberry pot like this. I really had my heart set on it.
He could not find one, soooo, this is what I ended up with.
Yes, that would be a Topsy Turvy Upside Down Strawberry Planter, as seen on TV by the way. It was not what I had in mind, but I decided to give it a try. I will update in my How My Garden Grows series. If it works well, someone will receive chocolate covered strawberries for Father’s Day.
We also went to Grandma M’s house to wish her a happy Mother’s Day. I brought her a bouquet of flowers and a card. She gave me a flower plant, because, as she affectionately calls us, “The Farmers.”
Here are some pics of the flowers I received from Grandma M. Thanks mommie. Thanks for having my back this past year.
But, by far, this is the best Mother’s Day present I received from my beautiful Cinderella.
Happy Mother’s Day!
