Another Patriot Celebrity
As I was reading the web this morning, I came across a story about David Arquette. Apparently he was at a Lakers game and was so moved during a halftime show that honored war veterans, he gave up is $3,7oo a ticket seat so the veterans could watch the rest of the game courtside. This [...]
Military Monday – Swimming Off the Coast of Timor Leste
Here is a video of Cpl Honda and other Marines swimming in the warm waters near Timor Leste. They were able to jump off the ship. No, not from the flight deck. I can not really explain where he is, but near the end he is the one looking up at the ship.
Sunday Brunch – Post Deployment Leave
Well, Cpl Honda made it home for post deployment leave. Not without trouble. He was set to leave at noon, but of course there was a kinck in that plan. His leave was not approved until the end. Does not matter though, because he is home. Hurry up and wait. Semper Gumby. Yeah, right! We [...]

Homecoming Saga Part 2
Ok, so after we left the Sweat Lodge Cafe, Lady Red is driving and it is a bit windy outside. All of a sudden the car starts vibrating. Now this is not the usual feeling of the wind pushing the car, no the car feels like it is shaking back and forth. We pull over [...]
Homecoming Saga: Part 1
First of all, I just want to say, this story is not for the faint of heart. Lady Red and I started this trip with nothing but the best of intentions. I think this is the case for every road trip, only this time, everything seemed to work against us. Also, since the story is [...]
