Pets for Patriots

I am always looking for great military stories and I love animals so I am happy to talk about Pets for Patriots. This organization helps active duty military, veterans and their family adopt pets.

It is known that pets do help with physical feelings of well being. They also can help with depression. I know my two dogs, Lucie and Buddy always make me feel good. Sometimes I think I like my dogs more then some people.

Pets for Patriots helps the military adopt adult pets that are sometimes overlooked at shelters because the puppies and kittens tend to get adopted first. Why? Well who can resist a cute little puppy. I adopted my Lucie as an adult pet. I do not have time for a puppy since I work and I really did not want to have to deal with housebreaking.
