So, you know that my son, Cpl Honda will be home from deployment soon. I was faced with having to drive to homecoming by myself. Of course, I would not miss that for anything, but it is about a seven hour drive through some very desolate areas and, yes I am a big girl, but you never know what could happen. This brings to the subject of this post. I had not one but two friends offer to go with me. These two people are not only willing to come with me but they are taking their own vacation time are going out of the way for me. One is a coworker and the other one is my very best friend in the whole world.

I am so happy to have people like this that care about me. In addtion, I am sure Cpl Honda will appreciate the efforts of these two people coming to see him return. So, it is a girl’s road trip and I am so looking forward to it.

Just hope the dates stay the same and we do not have to change anything. But, it is the military and we have to remain Semper Gumby! Always!

Today’s recipe is chicken Sihsh-Ka-Bob. Ok, Corvette bought it from the supermarket. But, I seasoned it and cooked it and it is  pretty tasty.

So throw a few bell peppers, onions, tomatoes and chicken on a stick and either BBQ it or throw it in your oven and you will have a tasty and easy meal. So I am off to eat now.
